Answer: There are no plans at this time to release BlueCast for .NET 1.0 or any other non-windows platform.

Question: I heard some individuals have successfully installed the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 on devices that do not support the framework, can you help me upgrade my non-compatible device?

Answer: No, the mobile device community tends to be savvy and some individuals can get the framework installed however, it can take a significant amount of time and knowledge to get working, along with the possibility of rendering your device useless.

Question: I have a JasJar, Sprint PPC 6700, or other device that continually launches the VoiceDial app when BlueCast is running. Can you make it work?

Answer: Bluecast is an application that opens the audio gateway between your phone and the headset, no other applications are called. Unfortunately, some phone vendors/ROMs are looking to see if the audio gateway is open, if it is, then it simply assumes you should be opening up the voice dial app. This is not a good assumption but I guess they think there is only one reason the audio gateway would be opening.... Although not endorsed by SimpleSmartphone, some users have set the following registry entry on their device to correct this problem. Change the following at your own risk: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/OEM/VoiceCommand: LaunchAPEnable (0). SimpleSmartphone does suggest contacting your manufacturer and asking them not to include auto-launching of the VoiceDial application in their next ROM release.

Question: Which devices have generated the most support calls for the application?

Answer: Motorola MPX220, Treo 700W, i-mate Jam, and i-mate JasJar.

Question: I can't get BlueCast to work with my device can you help?

Answer: BlueCast will not work on devices for many reasons including OEM and carriers locking down the phone and disabling certain features. Because of this and increasing support costs, SimpleSmartphone cannot answer supports calls for purchased or non-purchased users, from time to time we may review support emails and at our discrection provide an answer. We suggest doing a google search for any support needs and recommend trying the demo before purchase. Thank you for understanding.
